SUMMER IN THE STUIDO

Inspiring creativity is a major part of the Algonquin Art Centre’s mandate, and our summer art classes, art demos, and family art activities are designed to help visitors discover the artist within.  The Algonquin Art Centre offers something for everyone.

Our beautiful surroundings provide much inspiration and subject matter for visitors to try their own hand at art, and we offer a number of art activities and classes for families and visitors to experience nature through creativity. Whether you need a break from the campsite, shelter from rain, or just need a fun way to spend a morning or afternoon, the Algonquin Art Centre is the perfect place to get away. So come, grab a delicious coffee or tea and try your hand at one of the many activities we offer.

This year we are welcoming a daily Open Studio, where you can enjoy one of our art kits for sale, or play around with available art supplies. These are self directed and provide endless opportunity to create in Algonquin Park.

If you are travelling to Algonquin Park on vacation, you need not worry about bringing any art tools or supplies. We provide everything you will need.

Studio

The Studio is located right outside the gallery in the middle of our tangled garden. Open July and August from Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm,   the Studio is a creative space where visitors can participate in our pop art classes or experience our new open studio. We are excited to try something new in 2024 and provide self-directed art kits. Paint a Paddle and Paint a Tote Bag to name a few! The Studio serves delicious coffee and tea, so you can relax while you create your masterpiece. The Studio is the bustling creative hub of the Centre.

Instructed and Self Guided Art

Instructed art classes present the opportunity to unleash your inner artist. We will have pop up art classes throughout the Summer season. We have classes for children,  adults, and the whole family. Stay tuned for pop up art class dates! First one is July 20th!

The Algonquin Art Centre hosts a number of art demos throughout the season. These demos are free of charge and are fun for the whole family. Stay tuned for art demo dates.
