This interpretive sculpture depicts a peregrine falcon diving after it’s prey. It is carved from a sugar
maple burl salvaged by the artist from a hardwood forest in Haliburton County.

The sculpture was judged third Best in Show at the 2025 Wood Art carving competition held in
Waterloo, Ontario.
