The Space in Between

“The word ‘nebulous’ came to mind the morning I looked out on the water. I was drawn into that seemingly infinite space, reeling in the gap between heaven and earth. As if like a bird on the wing, searching for a lost horizon dissolved by the light. I felt a sense of peace and calm wash over me there. In this composition, it is my hope that the introduction of light ‘portals’ will help invite the viewer in, to dwell, if only for a moment in that infinite, timeless space in between .. and experience the same kind of peace and calm as I did on that fine summer’s morning.“ CB
*The piece was first shown at the 2019 ‘Birds in Art’ exhibition (Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. U.S.A.) and was selected for their tour which concluded in September of 2020.
