What’s special about Algonquin to me are all the ecosystems present in the park that are nurtured by the abundance of precipitation. I don’t think I’ve ever had a rain feee camping trip and I have camped this park since I was a child. I’m fascinated by all the hemlock and black spruce that form forests in these wet conditions and rich humus soil.
