“Sometimes, when I listen to music, I can almost see it. I see its form, movement, and even its colour. In Water Music, I imagined a sheet of music where the rippled lines of water became the bars on a staff. Instead of putting down notes, I painted their sound, thick and thin, light and dark, forming patterns that can be interpreted as the flowing sounds and rhythms of water, or Water Music.” CB  (excerpt from the BIA exhibition catalogue).
