“My Brush with Nature”: The Works of Ron Plaizier

August 15th to October 16th

“My Brush with Nature” highlights the wildlife paintings of award-winning artist Ron Plaizier. Ron’s work not only capture the meticulous details of his subjects, but the nuances of light and shadow that brings his pieces to life.  “My Brush with Nature” will be on display from August 15th to October 16th.

Artist Statement: “My Brush with Nature” speaks to my artistic connection to wildlife and the many encounters I have enjoyed witnessing animals in their natural setting. As a young teenager I visited Algonquin Park for the first time and was captivated by its sheer size and scenic wonders. Later in life, the opportunity to canoe the pristine waters within Algonquin Park, visiting the interior and hiking the many trails further reinforced my appreciation for the park’s beauty and the critical role it plays in animal and habitat conservation. The animals within Algonquin Park have been the inspiration for many of my wildlife paintings in the past and I’m sure will continue to inspire me for many years to come.
