DAILY ART ACTIVITIES

Our Daily Art Activities are open to visitors of all ages and are available every day throughout the summer from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Pre-registration is NOT required for daily art activities. You are welcome to drop in at your convenience and enjoy any of our fun activities for as long as you like. Our daily art projects are ideal for both beginner painters and accomplished artists.
Paint a Paddle
Description: Wooden paddles in various sizes are great to paint as a memory of a wilderness venture. There are aids for the novice painter to use and many pictures of Algonquin‘s wildlife for a reference for more ambitious painters. We have inspiring samples of already painted paddles on display. All materials are supplied - including the paddle. Paddles range in size from 14" and up.
Take Home: You get to bring home with you a painted paddle, the remainder of your acrylic paints and 2 paint brushes.
Paint a Birch Bark Canoe
Description: Paint a hand crafted 12" canoe made out of birch bark by native people from Manitoulin Island. All materials supplied.
Take Home: You get to bring home with you a unique souvenir, the remainder of your acrylic paints and 2 paint brushes.
Paint a Canvas Panel
Description: Create your own image on an 8 x 10" canvas panel. Our beautiful surroundings provide much inspiration and subject matter for both beginners and experienced painters. Acrylic paints and 2 brushes are included in the price.
Take Home: You get to bring home with you your painted canvas, the remainder of your acrylic paints and 2 paint brushes.
Paint a Madoc Rock
Description: Create your own image on this special  rock that has been sliced with a diamond saw to make a great flat surface. Acrylic paints and two brushes are included in the price.  The sizes vary from approximately 3" x 4" to 8" x 10".
Take Home: You get to bring home with you your painted rock, the remainder of your acrylic paints and 2 paint brushes.
Canoe Mosaic
Description: A real life size canoe has been placed outside for visitors to paint and there are various sizes of spaces on which to paint. Acrylic paints and two brushes are included in the price. It is your chance to leave your mark in Algonquin Park! 
Take Home: You get to bring home with you the remainder of your acrylic paints and 2 paint brushes.
Paint a Bird House
Description: These wooden bird houses are built and ready for painting. Create a home and decoration for your garden.
Acrylic paint and brushes included.
Take Home: You get to bring home with you your painted bird house, the remainder of your acrylic paints and 2 paint brushes.
Pebble Mosaic Keepsake Box
Description: Embellish your own wooden box with a pebble mosaic, a perfect place to store your Algonquin treasures. Box, paint, brushes, glue and pebbles are included in the price.
Take Home: You can take home with you the Pebble Mosaic Box Kit, which includes all the materials for making your own mosaic box.
Create your own Mobile
Description: Work with a variety of shapes and wooden cut-outs to create your very own mobile which reflects your Algonquin experience.
Take Home: You get to take home with you the finished Algonquin mobile.
Sculpt with Clay
Description: Get hands on with own special clay to create your own Algonquin sculpture. This clay naturally dries without the use of a kiln, and you can paint on the finished sculpture!
Take Home: You can take home with you the finished sculpture.
Artist Trading Cards
Description:Create, swap, collect! Everyone can express themselves in a small format and exchange their creations.
Take Home: 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 painted card.
