BIOGRAPHY

Stanley

Canadian artist, Richard Stanley, presently resides just north of Toronto, Ontario, within easy reach of Algonquin Provincial Park, the inspirational landscape of the legendary artists Group of Seven and Tom Thomson. This great park, indeed all of North America's vast natural landscape, through which he has travelled many times, creates the inspiration for most of his paintings and sculptures. These images often reflect the artist's concern for the necessity of conservation and environmental stewardship. Utilizing or combining different mediums and materials, Richard creates unique work, covering a variety
of subject matter. His paintings, executed in watercolour, oil or acrylic, range in size from miniatures to murals, can now be seen in exhibitions, or found in private and corporate collections, internationally.
